What you get

One application, one fee of $10,000, and everything you need to start a new life on the island:

  • Coral Island residency. A residence permit for 12 months, issued the day you are approved. It counts towards citizenship.
  • Your own home in our brand new town. The home is yours outright: you own it, you do not rent it, and there is nothing more to pay for it.
  • Your Coral Island ID card. Issued to you automatically, using the photo and fingerprints from your San Andreas documents.
  • Your firearm licence transferred. If you hold a valid San Andreas weapon licence, it is transferred to a Coral Island firearm certificate.
  • You keep your US citizenship. You do not give up your San Andreas citizenship. You are recorded as a dual national.

30 places, first come, first served

There are 30 places on the Programme. They are given in the order applications are approved, never by lottery or draw.

Applications are accepted for review in the order they are sent, and only as many as there are places left. When all 30 places have been taken the Programme closes, and any application still open is refused with a full refund of any fee paid.

Who can apply

The Programme is for citizens and residents of San Andreas. You must:

  • hold a valid San Andreas ID card or passport, from the San Andreas Civil Office in Paleto Bay
  • have your fingerprints on file (they are taken when your San Andreas ID card is made)
  • not already be a citizen or resident of Coral Island
  • have a completely clean record

A clean record means no record at all. You cannot apply if:

  • any criminal conviction has ever been recorded against you, even one that has since been expunged
  • there is a warrant for your arrest, active or pending
  • you have ever been held in prison or custody
  • you have ever been deported from Coral Island, or an entry ban is in force

There are no exceptions. The Department reads the San Andreas records when you apply, when your application is accepted for review, and again before it is decided.

The cost

The Programme costs $10,000, once. It covers your residence permit, your home, your Coral Island ID card and the firearm licence transfer.

  • Nothing is due when you send your application.
  • The fee becomes due when the Department accepts your application for review and holds a place for you. Pay it within 7 days at the Coral Island Flights desk at Sandy Shores Airfield, at the Immigration and City Office in Puerto Coral, or with the payment command /coralfees pay. Fees are taken from cash first, then from your bank account.
  • The fee is paid into the Government of Coral Island treasury.

Refunds. The fee is refunded in full if you withdraw before the review starts, or if your application is refused because no place is left. It is not refunded if your application is refused because the records show a conviction, a warrant or a custody record, because you declared a clean record when you applied.

Your new home

Every approved applicant is given a home in the new town on Coral Island. When you apply you can choose one of the homes available at the time, or leave the choice to the Department. Homes are handed over in the order applications are approved, so if the home you chose has gone by then, the Department gives you another.

Ownership is transferred to you by the City Office as soon as your application is approved. The home is yours to keep, to live in and to furnish.

You keep your US citizenship

Joining the Programme does not take anything away. You keep your San Andreas citizenship and your San Andreas documents, and you are recorded on Coral Island as a dual national (San Andreas). If you later become a citizen of Coral Island by naturalisation, your dual nationality stays on record. Read about citizenship.

Your firearm licence

A firearms licence from San Andreas has no effect on Coral Island (section 7 of the Firearms and Ammunition Ordinance). Under the Programme, a valid San Andreas weapon licence is transferred without the usual application at the firearms counter:

  • you are issued a Coral Island firearm certificate, valid for 180 days, for firearms of Categories A, B and C that are not automatic
  • each firearm you keep must be entered on your certificate at the firearms counter, Police station, Puerto Coral, and your storage inspected
  • a San Andreas concealed carry licence does not transfer: a carry permit is granted only in exceptional cases

The Department checks your licence against the San Andreas register. It may refuse the transfer on its own while approving your residency. Read the firearm licensing policy.

How it works

  1. Sign in with your account and choose the person who is relocating.
  2. Fill in the application: your details, why you want to relocate, your household, the home you would like, and your firearm licence.
  3. Send it. No fee is due yet.
  4. The Department accepts applications for review in the order they were sent. When yours is accepted, the $10,000 fee becomes due.
  5. Once the fee is paid, an officer reviews your application. You may be invited to an interview.
  6. If you are approved, your residence permit is issued at once and your home, Coral Island ID card and firearm certificate follow within minutes.

You will be asked to sign in first.

After you apply

Follow your application in Your account. You are told when it is accepted for review and the fee becomes due, and when it is decided.

If you are refused

The decision letter gives the reason. If you were refused because no place was left, the fee is refunded in full. If you think a decision is wrong, you can make a complaint.
