Business on Coral Island

Licences to trade, casino gaming, public events, Government tenders and the public registers.

Licences to trade

Anyone who sells goods or services on the island needs a business licence from the Business Registry. A licence costs $1,500 and lasts 90 days. Businesses already trading have until 31 October 2026 to apply.

Apply for a business licence or check the register.

From 1 October 2026 a business that sells alcohol also needs a premises liquor licence, and a business that sells, repairs or makes firearms or ammunition needs a firearms dealer's licence. Both are applied for in person: the liquor licence at the Business Registry counter, Government Complex, and the dealer's licence at the firearms counter, Police station, Puerto Coral. See weapons and firearms.

Gaming

Casinos, their key staff and gaming staff, and gaming events are licensed by the independent Coral Island Gaming Commission.

Apply for a gaming licence or check the register of gaming licences.

Events

Larger public events, and any event with amplified music, fireworks, alcohol or a public venue, need a permit. Read about holding an event.

Your staff

Staff who live in San Andreas need a work visa tied to your company. Visitors coming to meet you need a business visa.

Selling to the Government

Invitations to tender are published in the Gazette by the Procurement Office.
