Apply for a Festival visa

A free 24-hour visa for the Coral Island Festival Weekend, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, sponsored by the Government of Coral Island. Every application is still decided by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Who it is for
Anyone who wants to visit Coral Island for the festival and does not already have the right to travel there. Citizens, residence permit holders and officials do not need it.
Cost
No fee. The visa is sponsored by the Government of Coral Island. The airline fare from Sandy Shores Airfield is $500 (cash first, then your bank account). The return flight from the island is free. The festival does not change the fare.
Valid for
24 hours: 00:00 to 23:59 London time on the day you choose. If it is approved after the day has started, it runs for 24 hours from approval.
Days
Saturday 10 October or Sunday 11 October. You can apply for one day or both: one application per day.
Applications close
At the end of Sunday 11 October (London time), 00:00, 12 October 2026.
Issued by
Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Ministry of Immigration and Citizenship

Before you start

The usual rules for tourist visas apply:

  • an entry ban stops you applying and stops you flying;
  • you declare any warrants and convictions truthfully, and the Department reads the San Andreas records;
  • you may not take paid work on the island on a Festival visa.

Fingerprints are needed before you fly, not before you apply. If yours are not on file, enrol at the Coral Island Flights desk at Sandy Shores Airfield before your flight (or at the Immigration and City Office in Puerto Coral, or the San Andreas Civil Office in Paleto Bay). It takes a minute and there is no fee.

What you need

  • An account with the account service, and the character who will travel.
  • Your address in San Andreas. We fill it in from your last application if we have one.
  • A truthful declaration of any active warrants and criminal convictions.

How it works

  1. Choose your day, Saturday or Sunday, and check the details we have filled in.
  2. Make the declaration and send the application. There is no fee.
  3. An immigration officer decides it, before your day where possible. You are told in Your account and by message on the island.
  4. If it is approved before your day, the visa starts at 00:00 London time on that day. You cannot fly on it before then.
  5. Enrol your fingerprints if you have not, then fly from the Coral Island Flights desk at Sandy Shores Airfield. The airline fare from Sandy Shores Airfield is $500 (cash first, then your bank account). The return flight from the island is free. The festival does not change the fare.

Conditions

  • A Festival visa lasts 24 hours and cannot be renewed. For a longer stay, apply for a tourist visa.
  • It does not replace a tourist visa you already hold.
  • It may be revoked, and an entry ban imposed, if the holder breaks the law of the island.

You will be asked to sign in first.

After you apply

Follow your application in Your account. If an officer needs more information they will ask you there. Your visa, with its number and verification code, appears under Visas and status when it starts.

If you are refused

The decision letter gives the reason. There is one application per person per day. If you think the decision is wrong, you can make a complaint.
