Gaming Commission opens licensing and a public register
The Coral Island Gaming Commission is now accepting applications for casino, employee and gaming event licences, and publishes a register of every licence in force.
PUERTO CORAL, 29 September 2026. The Coral Island Gaming Commission, established under the Gaming and Casino Control Ordinance 2026, is now accepting applications online.
The Commission issues four kinds of licence:
- a casino operator's licence, for a company operating a casino on the island
- a key employee licence, for managers and others who control gaming operations
- a gaming employee licence, for dealers, cashiers and floor staff
- a gaming event permit, for a tournament or a single gaming event
Every applicant must show that they are fit and proper to hold a licence. The Commission checks warrants and convictions and may inspect premises before a licence is granted.
The Commission publishes a register of every licence in force, so that anyone can check whether a venue or a person is licensed.
The casino already trading on the island when the Ordinance came into force has been granted a transitional operator's licence for 180 days under section 30, and must apply in the ordinary way before it ends.
The Commission acts independently of Ministers. Where a member of the Government has an interest in an applicant or a licence holder, the interest is published in the Register of Interests.
Ends.
