Public Order and Events Ordinance 2026Ordinance No. 6 of 2026

1. Short title

This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Order and Events Ordinance 2026.

3. When a permit is needed

An event permit is needed for an event held in a public place where more than 20 people are expected, or which uses amplified music, fireworks or stage effects, sells or serves alcohol to the public, or uses a public venue.

5. Conditions

The Events and Permits Office may attach conditions to a permit, including finishing times and stewarding.

6. The Police Service

The Coral Island Police Service is informed of every permitted event.

8. Offences

It is an offence to hold an event that needs a permit without one, or to breach a condition of a permit.

9. Powers of officers

An officer of the Police Service may stop an event that is held without a permit or in breach of its conditions.
