Purpose of the Bill

The Bill would allow the Fisheries Department to set fishing seasons and catch limits, license commercial fishing in island waters and protect breeding grounds near the Reef Line. Recreational fishing from the shore would remain free. The Bill has been published for comment and is to be considered by the Transitional Council.
