1. Short title

This Ordinance may be cited as the Access to Information Ordinance 2026.

3. Right to request information

Any person may ask for information held by the Government.

5. Time limit

A request is answered within 20 days.

7. Exemptions

Information may be withheld on grounds of security, personal information, Cabinet confidence, commercial confidence or law enforcement. The reason is given.

9. Complaints

A person who is not satisfied with how a request was handled may complain to the Complaints Commissioner.
